Hardcover first edition, with b&w photographs illustrated throughout. The photographs and the transport infrastructure photographed is primarily from the 1920;s and 1930's ( the era between the wars) but it also includes many photographs taken by the author himself in the 1950's , both North and South. Engines are photographed in stations and on the move, in rural and urban locations.
96 pages, light edgewear to the covers, closed tear to edge of back cover, no marks internally.
