Fran is an easy-going jovial tradesman from Dublin. His spouse Mary, an outgoing health professional, rushes him to hospital during another episode of yet undiagnosed critical illness. Fran's boss, a notorious sadistic bully who has been targeting Fran for years jumps at this opportunity to push him out the door. The couple discover that employment law is very employer focused. Fran's health deteriorates, not aided by the deliberate severe bullying he's encountering from work. Mary had cancer and knows her assertiveness in changing from a complacent consultant to another one just in time saved her life, is aided by her friends in asking for all scans to be done for Fran, but to no avail. Supported by very good friends they remain positive and enjoy life despite deteriorating health, financial worries, and severe strategic bullying. They organise a second medical opinion in the UK where specialists have promised all tests and scans will be done. Will Fran's boss succeed in pushing Fran out the door and tormenting him with cowardly company's and dirty doc's assistance or will fate intervene and give this couple a much deserved break? Mary offers down to earth advice on accessing best medical care when you know you are very sick and find you are being ignored by your consultant.
