A very hard to find title, this is the second book from Tipperary author Raymond Smith, The Fighting Irish in the Congo, published by Little and Maclean, Dublin , 1962. Raymond Smith was a journalist with the Irish Independent who had visited and travelled extensively in the Congo ( and Katanga) in 1960-62.
Light edgewear to the covers, but clean and uncreased , there is a small area of paper loss ( approx 1 cm) ( relatively small) to the base of the spine, binding tight, no inscriptions internally. Bumps to corners.
There are also a number of group and individual photographs of soldiers wo served in the Congo, a list of the dead, photographs taken by the author, maps of the Congo.
