Product Description
An account of the campaign ran by Micheline (granddaughter of Hanna and Francis of 1916 and suffragette fame) to fight gender discrimination at NUI Galway after she was repeatedly passed over for promotion. She won her case, and then donated the award she got to help 5 other female members of staff who had similarly not been promoted to take their own High Court cases.
It also tells of Micheline's ' Three Conditions' Campaign, a four year epic tale, filled with ups and downs, in the battle to get the 5 women promoted.
Published by M3C Press, Clarinbridge, Galway. Illustrated throughout. Large format paperback with flaps.
If you thought gender discrimination was somehow a thing of the historical past, even in organisations such as modern universities, this account will set you right.
