Product Description
Paddy Purcel always wanted to join the Irish Army, but as he comes to end of sixth year it’s the French Foreign Legion that becomes the more appealing choice. In a neighbourhood where the closest anyone has ever gotten to France is the inside of a wine bottle, the locals start taking bets on how long Paddy will last, or if he even goes.
Reality kicks in as Paddy realises he will have to, amongst other hurdles, learn French. Worst of all, being under 18 years of age he requires parental consent from the man who walked out of his life ten years earlier.
Paddy prepares for failure until his twin brother, Alan, and his misfit pals convince him to give it a go in this witty adventure that proves being different doesn’t mean being a loser.
But can they succeed for once?
